Rashford scores to give United win at Bournemouth on 3 November (image courtesy Reuters)

Jose Mourinho says Manchester United were lucky as England international Marcus Rashford scored a late goal to hand the Red Devils a win at Bournemouth on Saturday.

United were lacklustre in the first-half as the Cherries took charge of the game with Callum Wilson putting them in front in the 11th minute.

But the Red Devils restored parity against the run of play through Antonio Martial, before Rashford netted the late winner.

And Mourinho said he was the “luckiest manager in the Premier League” in the first-half.

“The score should have been like 6-2,” the United boss added.

“We were defensively awful. As a team we didn’t press or do any of the work we did in the week. People watching this game will not believe how hard we worked this week.”
