The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has urged youths in the South East not to turn the region into a killing field following the planned Operation Python Dance III by the Nigerian Army.
This came from the President General of the Ohanaeze Nnia Nwodo on Tuesday in Enugu at the Business Conference of Ohaneze Ndigbo in the Diaspora.
He cautioned youths not to do anything that would make them stand against the Nigerian Army when the exercise begins.
In addition, he called on the people of the region to participate in the 2019 elections and alter the terrain of governance in the country.
“Four zones out of the six in the country have set the agenda for restructuring,” he added.
“I appeal to our people to go out and vote during the election because your warfare is your vote.”
