The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani has defended Senator Bukkar Abba Ibrahim (APC-Yobe Central) for saying the northeast will vote against President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ibrahim, a three-time governor of Yobe state, was quoted to have said that even massive rigging may not save Buhari from the imminent defeat.
Ibrahim has, however, denied that he made the statement, adding that he was quoted out of contest.
Reacting in a post on Twitter, Sani who recently dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, said Nigerians should “stop heckling or throwing stones on Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim.”
Sani said: “He [Ibrahim] is just a meteorologist.
“All you need to do is to mind the weather and appreciate his forecast.”
