#NewMinimumWage: Labour Union Storms Presidential Villa

Member of the organised labour union on Tuesday stormed the Presidential Villa in Abuja to protest a review of the new minimum wage agreed with the government.

Concise News understands that the protest was led by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) President Bobboi Kagama and was tagged “National day of Mourning.”

According to Kaigama, the union would not leave the Villa until the governors and executive committee on the new minimum wage chaired by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo accede to their demands.

He wondered why the governors would not accept the agreed new minimum wage, stressing that the hike would not contribute to inflation.
