Nigeria international Faith Ikidi has won the Swedish women’s top-tier crown with Pitea after the team’s 6-1 drubbing of Vaxjo over the weekend.
The win meant that Pitea claimed the league title with 48 points from 28 matches in the season.
This is the team’s first ever championship crown.
Ikidi, 31, and a defender for the Super Falcons played 20 games for her outfit in the Swedish Dammalsveskan.
The Nigerian moved to Pitea in 2010 with the recent title making it her third major medal since moving to Europe.
She had previously played for Linkoping with the recent win meaning the side would play in next term’s UEFA Women’s Champions League.
