Former Presidential New Media aide Reno Omokri has described Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State as an opportunistic hypocrite for imposing a 24-hour curfew on the state.
The governor had placed the curfew following the recent violence in parts of the state which has resulted in the killing of 55 people at Kasuwan Magani, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Concise News, however, reported that El-Rufai relaxed the curfew on Thursday from 5 pm to 6 am till further notice.
Reacting in a post on his Twitter handle, Omokri criticized El-rufai for imposing curfew after he slammed the Peoples Democratic Party in 2011 for imposing curfew in Kaduna
He wrote: “If you don’t believe that El-rufai, the Governor of Kaduna, is an opportunistic hypocrite, then look at this accusation he made against PDP in 2011 and compare with what he is doing today.
“He complained about a 9PM-6AM curfew, then declared a 24-hour curfew.”
