The politicians had on Wednesday took to the streets of Abeokuta in protest against the result of the National Working Committee of the party on the governorship candidate of the state, insisting that Akinlade be declared the winner.
The protesters, who also took their protest to the governor’s office at Oke Mosan and the Nigerian Union of Journalists secretariat in Abeokuta, gave the NWC and the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, up till Friday to address their grievances.
