The lecturer, who is the Head of Department, Catering and Hotel Management at the Benue State Polytechnic, and his son, Victor Inalegwu Ogbuja, a final-year student of Animal Production at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, are on trial over allegation of sexually molesting Ochanya Ogbuje.

It was learned that the Chief Magistrate, Isaac Ajim, declined to entertain the matter on Thursday for lack of jurisdiction to hear the criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide charge.

Until her death, Ochanya attended the Federal Government College, Gboko, Benue. She was a Junior Secondary School 1 student.
