President of the Dangote Group Aliko Dangote has been named as the sixth most charitable man in the globe by Richtopia.
Richtopia is a United Kingdom-based digital periodical that focuses on business, economic and financial news.
Dangote, Africa’s richest man, was given the honour on Wednesday with Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and J.K Rowlings taking the first three positions in that order.
Also, Oprah Winfrey and Elon Musk were handed the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
The other Nigerian on the list is the Chairman of the United Bank for Africa, Tony Elumelu who was placed on the 11th position.
Dangote is the founder of the Dangote Foundation which aims at enhancing opportunities for social change through investments and a better health.
It was founded in 1980 and is one of Africa’s biggest foundations.
