The senator representing Kaduna Central at the Nigerian Senate, Shehu Sani, says it will be fair and just for the Federal Government to agree to N30,000 as minimum wage.
The lawmaker, who made this comment on his Twitter handle on Tuesday evening, maintained that the country can afford more than N30,000 in reality.
“It’s fair and just for the FG to agree to 30k as minimum wage. That means 1k per day. This country can afford more than that in reality,” he tweeted.

Sani’s comment is coming a day after President Muhammadu Buhari received reports of the proceedings of the National Minimum Wage Negotiation Tripartite Committee on the new minimum wage.
According to reports, the document contains proceedings of all the meetings the Committee had, including the resolution to have N30,000 as the new minimum wage.
