The money-laundering case of the former governor of Ekiti state Ayodele Fayose has been adjourned by the Federal High Court in Lagos till Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Fayose, who was arraigned on Monday on an 11-count charge by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), however, pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Three unidentified people have been killed by gunmen in despite the 24-hour curfew imposed on the state by the government. It was learned that the three people were reportedly killed in Narayi area of the state.

The Supreme Court has dismissed the ruling of the court of appeal staying further execution of the order of interlocutory injunction restraining the All Progressives Congress (APC) from conducting further congresses in Rivers state.
