The Football Association is waiting for the referee’s report before deciding whether any further action will be taken on Jose Mourinho over the ugly scenes on the touchline at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Manchester United manager took exception to the way Chelsea assistant coach Marco Ianni celebrated Ross Barkley’s late equaliser, prompting a melee around the tunnel.

It was gathered that Mike Dean will only file an “extraordinary incident report” if he feels there’s something the FA need to be aware of, that wasn’t dealt with at the time.

Mourinho revealed in his post-match interview that he received an apology from Ianni and Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri and said he considers the matter closed, but it remains to be seen whether the FA opts to take further action.
