Nigeria Professional Football League side, Plateau United Football Club of Jos has unveiled Abdul Isa Maikaba as its new Technical Adviser.
At the unveiling of Maikaba in Jos, the General manager of the club, Pius Henwan, said the management decided to recruit him in order to fill the vacuum created by the departure of the former coach, Kennedy Boboye.
Henwan explained that the 2016/2017 NPFL champions decided to hire the services of Maikaba also because the management felt that the former Akwa United coach posses the ability to fulfill the club’s ambition for the forthcoming season which is to win the NPFL title.
He hailed the former Akwa United boss for the successes he recorded with his former club by winning the 2017 Aiteo cup, while expressing optimism in the ability of the coach to deliver on the mandate given to him.
Speaking shortly after he was unveiled, the new Technical Adviser, Maikaba said he was delighted to join Plateau United FC and promised that he will do his best to return to the club to winning ways according to the objectives set out by management of the club.
Maikaba lauded the management for finding him suitable for the job, and promised to do his best to win laurels in order to justify the confidence the club reposed in him.
