The Delta State House of Assembly has slammed a three-month suspension on the member representing Burutu Constituency II, Hon. Kennedy Daubry.
This followed his recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Daubry has been nominated as the APC Candidate in Burutu Federal Constituency.
The suspension followed a motion raised by the Majority Leader, Hon. Tim Owhefere and seconded by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi.
The Majority Leader said the motion became necessary following the character being displayed by Hon. Daubry in recent times.
Owhefere noted that the sanctity of the House must be respected at all times by members, stressing that as a lawmaking House, members should live up to expectations.
He argued that all members must improve on the sanctity of the House the way they met it.
The motion was adopted when put to a voice vote by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
