Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri has arrived in Paris, France, for the 2018 ITTF World Cup.
He arrived in the European country after helping his Portuguese Sporting to their first win of the 2018/2019 European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) Champions League.
But the Olympic quarter-finalist will be facing the best talents in the world of table tennis when the three-day tournament kicks off Friday, October 19.
Twenty players would be competing to share from the prize money of $250,000 and also be looking to improve their ranking points.
Quadri, who won 2018 ITTF Lagos open, qualified for the championship based on his impressive world ranking.
The Nigerian will begin his campaign from the first round where 12 players will be drawn into four groups of three players in each group.
The first and second players in each group join the already seeded eight players to compete in the elimination phase on 20 October 20, while the final takes place on October 21.
