Super Eagles star John Ogu is proud of the team for its back-to-back wins against Libya in the qualification race for the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Nigeria on Saturday mauled the Mediterranean Knights 4-0 in the first leg of the encounter before a late 2-3 win in the reverse fixture on Tuesday.
With the victory putting Nigeria top of the Group E standings for a place in Cameroon, Ogu has dedicated the wins to Eagles fans.
In a tweet, Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder urged his teammates to be focused as they battle for a place in the Afcon finals.
He also admitted that the games were not as easy as ABC for the Gernot Rohr-led African side.
“I’m really proud of this boys last night,” he said. “Not easy to play in such a game after the win on Saturday. So proud to have come, out with the win.
“This win is for our fans. Now we focus on the next objective against South Africa.”
Nigeria’s next game will be with South Africa on November 16 before the last clash of the qualifiers at home to Seychelles in March 2019.
South Africa are second in the Group E log with eight points, one shy of Nigeria at the peak of the standings.
