President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on Diaspora & Foreign Affairs, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, says the viral video of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, purportedly receiving bribe amounting to about $5million from contractors in the state is suspicious.
The President’s aide made this known while reacting to a tweet concerning the purported video.
An online newspaper had reported that it carried out a sting operation that captured the governor on camera.
The news platform, Daily Nigerian, claimed that one of the contractors agreed to fix a spy camera on his cloth while offering the bribe.
The governor’s face and body were reportedly clearly captured in nine clips, while six others do not clearly reveal the governor’s face.
But Dabiri-Erewa said Nigerians should be wary of reports that emanate during this election season.
She, however, agreed that investigation into the matter should be carried out.
”I agree absolutely.. It should be. It is definitely suspicious, and that music is played over it shows mischief,” she said, in her response to a tweet from a tweep who wanted to get her take on the matter.
You are obviously ignorant. The report said the person who recorded hid the camera in his cloth In this political season, don’t get carried away with anything and everything .THINK https://t.co/cTDXgjDaat
