Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has stated that with the endorsement of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar will win the 2019 presidency.
Obasanjo had on Thursday threw his weight behind the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 elections, Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku, who was Nigeria’s vice president during Obasanjo’s presidency from 1999 to 2007, is the main candidate challenging President Muhammadu Buhari for Nigeria’s highest office in 2019.
In a post on his Twitter page on Friday, Fani-Kayode noted that candidates that get the endorsement of Obasanjo always end up winning the presidential election.
He wrote: “OBJ endorsed himself in 1999: he won.
“OBJ endorsed himself in 2003: he won.
“OBJ endorsed Yar’Adua in 2007: he won.
“OBJ endorsed GEJ in 2011: he won.
“OBJ endorsed Buhari in 2015: he won.
“OBJ has endorsed Atiku in 2019: he will win.”
