Former Presidential New Media aide Reno Omokri has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari’s media aide, Garba Shehu, for attacking ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo had on Thursday endorsed the candidate of the PDP, Atiku, for the 2019 presidency.
Reacting, Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to Buhari on Media and Publicity, said the president would not be distracted by the move.
Describing the endorsement as a “rehearsed theatre,” Shehu came hard on his former principal, saying both Atiku and Obasanjo would lose together.
“It is just eleven years ago that the former President and Vice President in their ugly fight for power accused each other of corruption. Nigerians are yet to forget all that,” he wrote on Twitter.
However, Omokri, while reacting, reminded Shehu that he at one time supported the former Vice President.
In a post on his Twitter page, Omokri wrote: “It is this same mouth that you are now using to insult atiku that you once used to praise him when you worked as his spokesman.
“HE Atiku put food in that mouth for 15 solid years! God used Atiku to make you what you are.
“Have some decency Garba”
