Kennedy Boboye has left his role as head coach of former Nigerian champions Plateau United after the expiration of his two-year contract.

The former Nigerian international achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title with the north-central club for the first time, in the 2016/2017 season.

But under Boboye’s watch, the Jos-based side failed to reach for the group phase of both the Caf Champions League and Confederation Cup in 2018.

The club also failed to progress beyond the group stage of this year’s Aiteo Federation Cup.
