The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 elections, Atiku Abubakar, says his cabinet will be ready before May 29, 2019, if he is elected Nigeria’s President.
Abubakar, who made this known on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Friday evening, maintained that he would not take six months before naming his cabinet as that was the case of Muhammadu Buhari when he assumed office as Nigeria’s President.
The former Vice President noted that the country needs a decisive leader to get Nigeria working again.
“If Nigerians elect me as their President, I will NOT take 6 months before naming my cabinet,” the Waziri Adamawa tweeted.
“My cabinet will be ready before May 29, 2019, if by the grace of God, you elect me. Our country needs a decisive leader to Get Nigeria Working Again,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, the former Vice President met Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state behind closed doors earlier today, where he picked the latter as his running mate.
Obi emerged the preferred choice of both the party and the candidate after series of consultations by stakeholders in the party and outside it.
Abubakar, who was Nigeria’s vice president during Obasanjo’s tenure from 1999 to 2007, is the main candidate challenging President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Nigeria’s highest office next year.
Concise News had on Thursday reported that the PDP Presidential candidate met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, where the latter endorsed him for President.
