The presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 elections, Atiku Abubakar, is in a closed-door meeting with Peter Obi in Abuja.
Concise News learned that Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, arrived at Abubakar’s residence in Asokoro neighbourhood around 3:00 p.m.
The meeting is coming amidst reports of the former governor emerging as Abubakar’s running mate in the elections.
The Waziri Adamawa became the presidential candidate of PDP on Sunday, 7 October, 2018.
At the time of this report, it was unclear whether the visit of Obi was in connection to the search for a running mate.
The former vice president was endorsed by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo for Nigeria’s highest office next year.
