The All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged that Senate President Bukola Saraki lost out of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential ticket because party members were fed up of his leadership style.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar won the presidential ticket of the PDP, with Governor Aminu Tambuwal coming second and Saraki coming a distant third.
In a post on his Twitter page on Wednesday night, the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling party, Yekini Nabena, said the people had already taken into consideration that Saraki was not to be trusted.
He wrote: “With a miserly 317 votes, PDP delegates showed they are fed up with Senator Bukola Saraki’s political style.
“When a leader can’t be trusted, relied on and keep agreements, the people take cognizance and respond with their votes.”
