Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru has said he would justify his inclusion in the team ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier with Libya.
Onyekuru, 20, missed out of Gernot Rohr’s team for the 2018 World Cup due to an injury.
However, ahead of the back-to-back 2019 Afcon qualifiers with the North Africans over the weekend, the Galatasaray forward has said the players must justify their inclusion in the team.
Also, he revealed that it would be a dream-come-true to feature for the West Africans at the 2019 Afcon in Cameroon.
“So happy to be in the team for the game against Libya,” Onyekuru told Complete Sports.
“We are self-motivated because a large number of us haven’t been to the Nations Cup before.
“Winning these two games against Libya will give us a good advantage of qualifying for the tournament.”
In addition, he admitted that “We have good players and we have to justify it when we are called upon to play.”
