Five-time Federation Cup winners Rangers and four-time NPFL champions Kano Pillars will go head-to-head in the final of the 2018 Federation Cup.

The two sides earned their berths in the final stage of Nigeria’s oldest football competition after overcoming Nasarawa United and Katsina United in dramatic semi-final duels.

While the Flying Antelopes came from two goals down to humble the Solid Miners 4-2, Pillars finally edged their neighbours on penalties after Katsina recovered from 2-0 to tie the game 2-2 in regulation time.

Rangers are aiming to win the trophy for the first time in 35 years, while Pillars are seeking their first Federation Cup, as the two sides battle for the ultimate prize on 24 October at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta state.
