Former Nigerian Ambassador to Greece and Australia, Professor Olu Agbi has died on Wednesday during a brief illness.
Agbi, who was the chairman of the Elders Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State died at the age of 73.
Family sources said the professor of history slumped in his house in Akure, the state capital and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he gave up the ghost.
Professor Agbi was said to have been battling with an disclosed health problem before he passed away.
He was one of the delegates at the just-concluded national convention of the PDP held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
