The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Undie Adie, has been removed by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, with immediate effect.
The spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Mathias Tyopev, announced the removal in a statement on Tuesday.
Tyopev said Adie has been replaced with Austin Agbonlahor, who was until his appointment, the CP (Operations) at Force Headquarters, Abuja.
He added that the new police boss, who hails from Edo State, has served in different capacities which include Director of Courses, Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, CP in Niger State, among others.
Tyopev maintained that the new commissioner has worked in virtually all the six geo-political zones of the country and departments in the Police Force.
