Chairman of the Dangote Group Aliko Dangote has restated the need for proactive steps in growing Africa’s regional market by investors and governments.
Dangote said the patronage of goods and services from the African market is one of the reasons for the Africa free trade agreement.
He said this on Monday in London, the United Kingdom at the 5th Annual Financial Times African Summit.
“We need to trade with ourselves”, Dangote stated. He added that this would strengthen trade and ultimately, African economies.
According to him, the listing of Dangote Cement on the London Stock Exchange would happen in 2019 as modalities are being put in place for that.
