They are third in the Group E standing for the race to Cameroon with three points after two games.

Libya lead the standing with four points and would take on the West Africans in two back-to-back encounters, starting this weekend, in the qualification series.

And Adepoju has admitted that Gernot Rohr’s side might be apprehensive as they enter the last phase of the race to the Afcon finals in the Central African nation.

He told Brila FM that missing out of the past two editions of the Afcon was a drawback to the growth of the national team.

However, he urged the players to see the games against the Mediterranean Nights as an opportunity to make amends.
