Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to prepare for the “mother of all battles” in the 2019 presidential election.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on Sunday, emerged as the candidate of the PDP.
The former VP polled 1,532 votes out of a total of 3,221, representing almost 50% of the entire delegates’ votes.
His closest rival, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state scored 693 votes, while Senate President Bukola Saraki came third with 317 votes.
In a post on his Twitter page, Fani-Kayode described President Muhammadu Buhari as a dangerous, desperate, relentless and callous President.
He wrote: “It is one thing to win a presidential primary and quite another to win a presidential election.
“The PDP must gird its loins, rally its forces and prepare for the mother of all battles because we are up against a dangerous, desperate, relentless and callous President.”
