Sevilla’s lead was doubled by Wissam Ben Yedder shortly after the hour-mark while substitute Sofiane Boufal pulled one back for Celta which ended up as a mere consolation.

The victory is Sevilla’s fourth in a row and means they move one point above Atletico Madrid, and two clear of Real Madrid and one clear of Barcelona who played out a 1-1 draw with Valencia later on Sunday.
