The 2018 Ofala festival of the Onitsha people in Anambra State has begun with a carnival by youths over the weekend (Saturday).
Concise News understands that the event featured a colorful showing off of the rich Onitsha cultural heritage.
The youths who marched through the streets of the commercial city were seen singing and dancing to colorful cultural tunes, reminiscing the glories of the time past.
The Ofala festival, originally celebrated by Onitsha indigenes on a yearly basis, is now being held by other neighboring communities like Nnewi and Ukpo.
