Tanimu Turaki

Former Minister for Special Duties Tanimu Turaki has reportedly withdrawn from the race to get presidential ticket of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Concise News understands that Turaki asked called on delegates to vote for the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

With the former minister’s reported withdrawal, 12 aspirants are now left to battle for the ticket at the elective national convention holding at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

According to reports, Turaki said he was convinced that Saraki would solve Nigeria’s problems if he became the country’s number one citizen.

He said, “Both of us have experience. Both of us have knowledge and integrity. “Both of us have character and both of us have that competence. And when you look at our antecedents, our backgrounds, our pedigree, it’s impeccable.

”So I say to Nigerians, particularly PDP delegates, for if for whatever reasons you don’t want me, take Abubakar Bukola Saraki as my brother.

“I believe that between the two of us, that the problems of Nigeria will be solved decisively.”
