The Super Eagles should not lose any game again in the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, former international Christian Chukwu has advised.
Nigeria are third in the Group E standing for the race to Cameroon after two games with four points.
The Eagles will take on Libya in back-to-back games next weekend and had in the opening game of the qualification, lost 0-2 to South Africa.
A 3-0 win over Seychelles last month, however, restored the three-time African champion’s hopes of another show at the competition.
But Chukwu has warned that losing another game in the qualification race would mar Gernot Rohr-led team’s chances of making it to Cameroon next year.
“We cannot gamble with any of the games we have left to play and especially, we cannot afford to lose any of the matches we have left to play,” he told Brila FM.
“We mustn’t take any of our group opponents for granted and we must put in the work to get our chances of qualifying for the Afcon back on track.”
