A new survey has revealed that bank customers in Nigeria now prefer mobile apps among other digital banking platforms.
This was according to the 2018 Consumer Digital Banking Satisfaction Index report that was published by a credit rating and research organization Agusto and Co on Wednesday.
According to the report, USSD codes are the next most preferred digital banking platform.
The report understudied five banks while giving five-star ratings for Consumer Digital Banking Satisfaction to four banks.
According to Agusto, Stanbic IBTC Plc scored 86 out of 100; United Bank for Africa Plc got 84; Access Bank Plc had 82.5, and First Bank of Nigeria Plc was rated 80.6.
It thus gave Stanbic IBTC the ‘Best Digital Bank in Nigeria’ tag.
On the parameters used in rating the banks, the agency said it was a “range of platforms known by customers; range of services aware of and actively used; perceived security strength; troubleshooting and IT support; ease of navigation; and transaction success rate.”
