A loaded-petrol tanker has gone up in flames, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The accident occurred when the driver of the tanker attempted to avoid colliding with a car.
Concise News learned that the driver lost control and the tanker immediately exploded when it fell.
This happened a few meters away from an NNPC filling station on the ever-busy Onyarugbulem junction which links Shagari village along the Owo-Benin expressway, Akure.
At the time of this report, people were said to be trapped in the raging inferno, which they said also affected some buildings by the roadside.
