Fishermen have rescued a middle-aged man from the Lagos lagoon after he allegedly jumped into the water from the Third mainland bridge.

Concise News understands that a crowd of passers-by stopped on the bridge to see the man while being rescued by the fishermen and officials of the State Waterways Authority.

The unidentified man, who reportedly wanted to take his life, is receiving medical attention at a hospital at the time of this report.

In March, 2017, something similar happened in that lagoon when a medical doctor Allwell Orji jumped to his death.

Also, there were unconfirmed reports of a woman in a Sports Utility Vehicle who allegedly jumped off the bridge into the water in June 2018.
