He wondered if it was spiritual or just ironically coincidental that Ambode chose to declare his independence from Tinubu on the eve of Nigeria’s Independence Day.

Omokri tweeted: “Is it spiritual or just ironically coincidental that chose to declare his independence from on the eve of Nigeria’s Independence Day? Tinubu is a colonial master. Can Ambode do to him what our Founding Fathers did to colonial masters?”

Concise News reported on Sunday evening that Tinubu chided Ambode and endorsed his challenger, Jide Sanwo-Olu, in the race for the APC governorship ticket in the southwest state.

Tinubu spoke extensively on the APC governorship primary scheduled for Tuesday, October 2, in a press statement personally signed by him.
