The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Monetary Policy Committee has left the Monetary Policy Rate at 14 percent after a meeting on Tuesday.
This was revealed by the CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele after the two-day meeting at the bank’s headquarters in Abuja.
According to Emefiele, the committee agreed to keep to its current monetary policy stance with three members voting to hike the rate.
He further noted that the committee retained the Cash Reserves Ratio at 22.5 percent.
The apex bank’s boss also said the committee retained the Liquidity Ratio at 30 percent with the Asymmetric Window staying at +200 and -500 basis points around the MPR.
