The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has hailed the re-election of Amaju Pinnick as the president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
Pinnick becomes the first head of the football house to be re-elected.
He emerged winner of the poll with 34 votes, defeating his predecessor, Aminu Maigari (8 votes), Taiwo Ogunjobi ( 2 votes) and Chinedu Okoye (0 votes) to retain his position.
In a post on Twitter on Thursday, the lawmaker charged Pinnick to reposition football and football administration in the country.
Shehu Sani wrote: “Congratulations to Amaju Pinnick on his re-election as NFF President.
“Its another opportunity to reposition football and football administration in Nigeria.
“He must reignite interest in the local league and rescue the hypnotized souls of Nigerians from EPL, La Liga, Seria A & Bundesliga.”
