After occupying the position of factional president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chris Giwa has declared his intention to vie for the Plateau North Senatorial seat on the platform of the PDP.
Announcing his decision to run in 2019 when he visited state officials of the party at its secretariat on Wednesday in Jos, Giwa said he was running because of his desire to give the people of the zone a voice.
“I am not contesting because I am hungry, but my mission in 2019 is to ensure that the All Progressives Congress (APC) lose in my zone and the state in general,” he said.
He also assured that he would remain and work for the PDP if he failed to secure the party’s ticket.
“I don’t see my fellow aspirants as enemies. I see them as brothers and partners in progress. We are all aspiring because we want PDP to take over power in 2019,” he added.
