Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential aspirant Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa on Monday insisted that restructuring remains the only option to tackle challenged confronting Nigeria.
Speaking during a visit to the leadership of Afenifere, the former Sokoto State governor pledged to give priority to the restructuring of Nigeria if elected President in 2019.
Bafarawa said: “I am not just supporting restructuring, I am going to implement it.
“Nigerians should see whoever is talking about restructuring as talking about developing this country. They are talking of development and not personal interest of any individual or group.
“We have held various conferences which have been kept aside and already the work has been done, by the time I emerge as the President of this country, within the first two or three months, we will set up a committee to review the recommendations and then start the implementation.
“We are going to work with the National Assembly and the judiciary to look into the recommendation of past conferences, with a view to restructure our nation and to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.”
