Roberto Firmino’s late strike handed Liverpool a dramatic 3-2 win over French champions Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday in their Champions League Group C opener at Anfield.
The enthralment of the night began with Daniel Sturridge firing the Premier League leaders in front in the 30th minute.
The Reds made it 2-0 after 36 minutes with a James Milner penalty, before the French side responded shortly before half-time through Thomas Meunier.
And when the English side thought they had done enough to nick a win, 2018 World Cup star Kylian Mbappe hushed the stadium with an equaliser seven minutes before the end of regulation time.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s men eventually had the last laugh as Firmino netted the Reds in front again deep into stoppage time to send the home fans as well as the manager, Klopp, into raptures.
