Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has claimed the club are more united after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus.
The former Tottenham player said Madrid were now not all about one player.
Ronaldo left Madrid this summer after helping to guide the club to their third consecutive Champions League trophy.
The Portugal captain helped the club to win two La Liga titles, four Champions League trophies and the World Club Cup on three occasions, while scoring 451 goals in the process.
However, Bale feels the team are more focused on improving as a “unit” rather than solely relying on Ronaldo’s strengths.
He told Daily Mail: “Obviously it’s going to be a little different from having such a big player there.
“It’s maybe a bit more relaxed, yes. I suppose there is more of a team, more working as one unit rather than one player.”
