Reactions have continued to trail the failure of the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Osun governorship election Ademola Adeleke, to attend the debate organised by Channels Television for the contenders.
Concise News learned that the debate started with the candidates of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Moshood Adeoti; Social Democratic Party (SDP), Iyiola Omisore and African Democratic Congress (ADC), Fatai Akinbade present.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gboyega Oyetola arrived late for the debate.
While Oyetola arrived after the national anthem had been recited and the three candidates had introduced themselves, reading their profile, Adeleke, on the other hand, failed to show up for the debate.
Nigerians took to Twitter to react to Adeleke’s absence at the governorship debate.
All the Buhari-must-debate advocates are silent on the conspicuous absence of Senator Adeleke

How can a governorship candidate not show up for debates ?
In my days in university, you can't win any elective position if don't show face to present your manifesto.
Senator Adeleke is a huge disappointment.

Senator Ademola Adeleke had a golden opportunity to shift the narrative from his dancing antics to what he has to offer as as a politician. Skipping this debate wasn’t the best of decisions. #OsunDebate

Senator Adeleke was conspicuously absent from the #OsunDebate however, PDP e-diots are extremely silent about it.
I hope when our dear President Buhari is also unavoidably absent due to STATE MATTERS – from any presidential debate in the nearest months, theyʼll not cry foul?🙄 pic.twitter.com/8dLxE1bXRl
