Fifa, Caf Appoint Observers For NFF Polls

Fifa has appointed Luca Piazza and Solomon Mudege as observers for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) election on Thursday.

Concise News gathered that Mudege is a Senior Manager for Development Programmes (Africa) with Fifa.

On the other hand, Piazza is a senior official in the Fifa President’s office.

Similarly, the Confederation of African Football (Caf) on Monday designated a Member of its Executive Committee Sita Sangare, as its observer for the election.

Sangare is the President of the Burkina Faso Football Federation.

The NFF Electoral Committee led by Muhammed Sani Katu will be in charge of the elections.

Incumbent Amaju Melvin Pinnick, a former Nigeria international and NFF Secretary General Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi are among candidates vying for the NFF presidency.

Also on the run for the post are former NFF President Aminu Maigari and Chinedu Okoye.
