Ekiti Assembly Approves Fayose’s N10bn Budget
Ayodele Fayose is due to leave office on 16 October

Former Presidential New Media aide Reno Omokri has slammed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for placing Governor Ayodele Fayose on its watch list.

Concise News understands that Fayose, whose tenure ends on October 16, is being investigated by the EFCC for alleged abuse of office, money laundering, among others.

In a letter dated September 12, and addressed to the comptroller-general of customs, the anti-graft said Fayose may be planning to flee the country.

But, reacting on Twitter, Omokri described placing the governor on its watch list as “injustice.”

He wrote: “EFCC urges Customs to ensure Governor Ayodele Fayose does not escape. How come they did not show this diligence for Maina? How come Buhari’s govt gave Maina DSS guards? How come Buhari’s AGF went to court to stop Senate from investigating who reinstated Maina?

“Should it not be immigration that EFCC ought to write? Why write Customs? Is Fayose a contraband product? Is he a banned substance like tramadol and codeine? Even in their injustice, EFCC are still clueless like the rest of Buhari’s inept administration.

“Kemi Adeosun, who admitted to forging her certificate, was escorted to the airport and flew out of Nigeria in Business Class under the watch of EFCC, Immigration & Customs.

“Yet, it is Fayose, who has not done nothing wrong, that EFCC wants to ambush!”
