It was learnt that many of the 57 local government chairmen in Lagos State are at present not in support of Ambode. There are also strong indications that the Governor’s impeachment process might have started.

Though Nigeria Billionaire, Femi Otedola, is rumoured to have ‘accepted’ to run under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a majority believe that any candidate chosen by the APC would likely emerge.

Kadri Obafemi Hamzat who a former commissioner for Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Special Adviser to the Hon. Minister of Works, Power and Housing has as well made known his interest to become the governor of Lagos state.

It will be recalled that Hamzat had on Monday, Sept 10, picked up his nomination form, as a candidate running up against the present governor of Lagos as he had done in 2014 primary elections.

However, some Lagosians are of the opinion that is of the opinion that Hamzat remains a silent player and the aspirant to beat if his superlative record of achievements in Lagos cabinet is meant to be considered.
