A 10-year-old ginger cat with several Instagram followers has been snatched from its owner’s house and carried away by a thief to an unknown destination.

The cat owner, Izabela Mnich lamented that she was shocked when neighbours told her that her Siberian Forest cat was stolen by a man who removed its pink band from its neck.

Evening Standard reports that the police have released a CCTV image revealing the face of the suspected thief at a train station.

It was learnt that the pet was stolen away from her home in North London.

Mnich said, “My lovely cat has been ripped away from me.

“I do not know what to say to the person that took him, only that I want Muk to come back to me where he is safe and happy.”

She revealed that the 10-year-old cat is worth £1,600 and is popular for its luxurious coat.
