Many Nigerian tweeps knocked President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday for accepting the APC Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest forms obtained for him by a group.
A pro-Buhari group Nigeria Consolidation Ambassadors Network (NCAN) had on 5 September purchased the document for N45 million and presented it to the President on Tuesday (today), 11 September at the State House in Abuja.
The group said it believed in Buhari, who declared his interest to run for a second term some months ago, because he had in words and in action worked to lay a foundation for a greater and a prosperous Nigeria.
On his part, the President appreciated the group, saying that they were united by a common vision of a secure and progressive country.
But some Nigerians think differently in this regard. While many condemned and mocked Buhari for accepting the forms, others questioned the legality of the group’s action.
Here are some reactions as captured by Concise News.
